Dr. Luis Almaguer Alvarez

Dr. Almaguer was born and raised in Camagüey, Cuba, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad de Ciencias Médicas in 2002. He went on to complete residencies in family medicine and critical care in Cuba before continuing his medical training with an internship at Hospital Auxilio Mutuo in San Juan, Puerto Rico.


With extensive experience in multiple areas of medicine—including critical care and emergency medicine—Dr. Almaguer is known not only for his clinical expertise but also for his deep commitment to patient care. He takes great pride in helping his patients achieve their health goals, always bringing compassion, dedication, and a patient-first approach to his practice.


Outside of work, Dr. Almaguer enjoys sports, music, traveling, and spending quality time with his family. His well-rounded experience and heartfelt dedication make him a trusted and valued physician in the communities he serves.


Dr. María del Mar Colón Miranda

Dr. Colón was born and raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 2010, and completed her clinical internship at Hospital Auxilio Mutuo in San Juan, Puerto Rico.


Her passion for medicine began at a young age, inspired by the care and compassion she witnessed from her aunt, a dedicated nurse in Puerto Rico, and her mother, who served communities in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic through mission work. These early influences shaped Dr. Colón’s commitment to helping others—something she has carried with her throughout her education and medical career.


Dr. Colón has a strong interest in primary care, preventive medicine, and clinical research. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, traveling, watching sports, dancing and spending time with friends and family. She brings a warm, patient-centered approach to care and is dedicated to making healthcare more accessible and personal for the communities she serves.
